Choosing your bridesmaids.

Your Bridesmaids are usually your closest friends and members of your family.

They will be that awesome group of special girls who are going to make your day fun.

This is often a time when real diplomacy is called for. Family members may assume that they are going to be part of your wedding party but there is no reason to include someone with whom you have no real relationship just because you feel you should. Although the expectations are less for a Bridesmaid than they are for your Maid or Matron of Honour they still have responsibilies. They are not just there for show!

There for you

Once again the Bridesmaids are supposed to be there for you. Getting married, as we all know, is a time of great joy but can also be a time of supreme emotional ups and downs. You will need their support.

Let`s hope that they all had a wild night at the Hen`s Night because you need a more subdued and better behaved show on your wedding day and don`t forget they too have responsibilities, here are some of them.

Before the big day The Bridesmaids will need to:

  • Help the Chief Bridesmaid in all her areas of responsibilities.
  • Help to arrange the pre-wedding celebrations with the Chief Bridesmaid..
  • Go to all the pre-wedding celebrations if possible.
  • Be prepared to take over any of the responsibilies that become too much for the Chief Bridesmaid to handle efficiently.

On the wedding day they will:

  • Assist you in any way you need on the day.

During the ceremony :

  • Your Bridesmaids will be part of the processional.
  • They will stand with you throughout the ceremony.
  • They will dance with the the groomsman that they have been partnered with shortly after the Chief Bridesmaid and Best Man have joined you and your new husband during the first dance of the night.
  • They will keep themselves nice at all times!
