Choosing your groomsmen

A Groomsman is someone who is important to the groom and who he wants to be a visible part of his wedding

Like the Bridesmaids, the Groomsmen are there to help the Groom. Even though there will be lots of fun and laughter during the preparation for the wedding, there are also responsibilities.

What do the Groomsmen have to do

Before the big day:

  • attend as many of the pre-wedding parties as you can
  • Help to plan and attend the Bucks Party
  • Attend the Wedding Rehearsal
  • Support the Best Man and take over any responsibilities that he can’t attend to.

On the wedding day they will:

  • Offer huge moral support to the Groom and keep him relaxed.
  • Get to the ceremony venue in plenty of time. It’s ok for the Bride to be fashionable late but not the groomsmen.
  • Take on the responsibilities for the ushers should there not be any.

During the ceremony :

  • Stand with the Groom and Best Man

During the reception

  • dance with the the bridesmaid that they have been partnered with shortly after the Chief Bridesmaid and Best Man have joined you and your new wife during the first dance of the night.
  • They will keep themselves nice at all times!
